When to choose Appointments over Schedule
Appointments and Schedule are two reservation modes built into the booking system. Use Schedule when you publish a class with a fixed time and customers reserve a spot in it (yoga class at 9am, group HIIT at 6pm). Use Appointments when customers pick a time from an instructor's availability for a one-to-one service (consultation, massage, coaching). Both can run side by side if you enable "Schedule + Appointments" in Configuration → Reservation type.
What gets unlocked when you enable Appointments
Enabling appointments unlocks: per-instructor weekly availability, special-date overrides, optional add-ons that customers can attach to a booking, add-on groups with selection rules, a configurable customer booking flow (class / instructor / date) and a time-frame setting that controls how far ahead customers can book.
How to switch on Appointments
Go to Admin → Settings → Configuration → Reservation type and pick "Appointments" or "Schedule + Appointments". Save. The Appointments menu group appears in the admin sidebar, and the customer app exposes the new /appointment flow.
