What the Time frame is
The Time frame is the spacing between the start times a customer can pick. Working hours are sliced into candidate start times every Time frame minutes; each candidate is then checked against the service duration, buffers and the instructor's other commitments. It does not decide how far ahead customers can book.
You set it in two places, and both are required before Working hours can be entered:
- Per service — service editor → Appointment - Settings, next to Open for appointments and the buffer times.
- Per instructor — Appointments → Instructors → instructor → Settings.
| Field | What it means | Limits |
|---|---|---|
| Time frame | Interval between offered start times. | Hours 0–6, minutes 0–55 in 5-minute steps; stored as total minutes (2 h 30 min = 150). |
| Buffer time - Open / Close | Preparation before and clean-up after each appointment. | 0, 5, 10, 15, 20 or 30 minutes each. |
| Daily time limit (instructor) | Most booked time per day. | Same picker style, up to 12 hours; 0 means Unlimited. |
Choosing a value
Shorter intervals give customers more choice; longer ones keep the day tidy and avoid unsellable gaps. For working hours of 9:00–12:00:
| Time frame | Offered times | Use it when |
|---|---|---|
| 15 minutes | 9:00, 9:15, 9:30 … 11:45 | Short or varied services where a flexible start matters more than a tidy diary. |
| 30 minutes | 9:00, 9:30, 10:00 … 11:30 | Most 30- or 60-minute services; the usual choice. |
| 60 minutes | 9:00, 10:00, 11:00 | Hour-long sessions you want booked back to back. |
Only candidates that still fit the service duration and buffers before the window ends are shown, so the last offered time is often earlier than the last slot above.
- Open the service editor → Appointment - Settings (or the instructor's Settings).
- Turn on Open for appointments.
- Set the hours and minutes in the Time frame picker.
- Tap Save, then check Working hours: each slot must be at least one time frame long.
A Working hours slot shorter than one Time frame produces no start time at all.
Limiting how far ahead customers can book
The booking horizon is a calendar setting, not an appointment one. The appointment date picker follows Weeks in future - Customers under Admin → Settings → Calendar (or, when that is set to 0, its manual or monthly release date), and never shows dates more than six months ahead. See Weeks displayed for customers.
How late a customer may book is set separately: service editor → General → Reservation & Cancellation, following the business reservation setting unless you turn Use business reservation setting off.
