Choose your booking type
Suggested reservation type: Appointments. Rooms and pods are the resource, not a practitioner, so appointment services with equipment units capping each booking fit better than a timetable.
Set it under Settings → Configuration → Reservation type: tick Appointments and leave the other boxes off. The choice is saved for the selected location.
Create your services
Start with these:
- Infrared sauna - 45 min — 45 minutes, price 900
- Float pod - 60 min — 60 minutes, price 1500
Both are appointment services; the generous buffers on both sides cover drying off, towels and resetting the pod.
An appointment service is a class with Open for appointments switched on, edited at /admin/appointments/classes/:classId. In its Settings pill start from: default duration 60 minutes, Time frame 30 min, Buffer time - Open 15 min, Buffer time - Close 15 min, and Working Hours matching your opening hours. Connect staff to the service at /admin/appointments/connect and set each person's hours at /admin/appointments/instructors/:customerId.
Set the booking flow
Under /admin/appointments/settings → Booking flow, order the steps Classes → Instructors → Date:
- Classes: Enabled + Required
- Instructors: Enabled (not Required)
- Date: Enabled + Required
Guests pick the experience first, then a date; the Instructors step is enabled but optional so a guest can choose a host for a guided session while most simply pick a time.
Passes and payment
Create these under /admin/passes (a visit pack is a number of visits plus validity days; a membership is a duration):
- Monthly wellness pass — membership, 30 days, price 4500
The membership gives unlimited visits for its duration; single sessions are paid at booking.
Cancellation window: under Settings → Reservation allow customer cancellation with a cutoff of 24 hours before the start (the field takes minutes, so enter 1440).
Customers and features
Dependents: Dependents stay off — each guest books under their own account.
Custom features to switch on at /admin/custom-features (each uses a feature point):
- Reporting & Business Insights — shows pod utilisation by hour so you price off-peak.
- LINE Booking & Messaging — sends arrival reminders and lets members rebook in LINE.
- Self-service Customer Check-in — lets members check in at reception without staff.
- Equipment — caps bookings at the number of pods and sauna cabins.
Worked examples for this business: Equipment for a Wellness Spa (Equipment → Items) and Appointment add-ons for a Wellness Spa (Appointments → Addons).
Do it with the assistant
The admin AI assistant reads this playbook and can set the business type, create services and classes, passes, link instructors, set working hours, buffers and the time frame, and enable features — every change is shown for approval before it is saved. Try:
- “Create a Float pod - 60 min service, 60 minutes, 1500, with 15-minute buffers on both sides.”
- “Add a Monthly wellness pass membership for 30 days at 4500.”
- “Enable Equipment and Self-service Customer Check-in.”
