Choose your booking type
Suggested reservation type: Appointments. Each massage is a timed room booking: room turnaround needs a clean-up buffer, intake forms record pressure preferences and injuries, and add-ons sell hot stone and aromatherapy — all appointment-service features.
Set it under Settings → Configuration → Reservation type: tick Appointments and leave the other boxes off. The choice is saved for the selected location.
Create your services
Start with these:
- Swedish massage - 60 min — 60 minutes, price 1800
- Deep tissue - 90 min — 90 minutes, price 2600
Both are appointment services; the open buffer covers the welcome and consultation, the close buffer the room reset.
An appointment service is a class with Open for appointments switched on, edited at /admin/appointments/classes/:classId. In its Settings pill start from: default duration 60 minutes, Time frame 30 min, Buffer time - Open 10 min, Buffer time - Close 15 min, and Working Hours matching your opening hours. Connect staff to the service at /admin/appointments/connect and set each person's hours at /admin/appointments/instructors/:customerId.
Set the booking flow
Under /admin/appointments/settings → Booking flow, order the steps Classes → Instructors → Date:
- Classes: Enabled + Required
- Instructors: Enabled (not Required)
- Date: Enabled + Required
Guests choose the massage first, then may pick a therapist — the step is enabled but optional so new guests are never blocked by a therapist they do not know.
Passes and payment
Create these under /admin/passes (a visit pack is a number of visits plus validity days; a membership is a duration):
- Massage 10 — visit pack, 10 visits, valid 365 days, price 16000
The card suits monthly regulars; single visits are paid at the counter.
Cancellation window: under Settings → Reservation allow customer cancellation with a cutoff of 24 hours before the start (the field takes minutes, so enter 1440).
Customers and features
Dependents: Dependents stay off — each guest books under their own account.
Custom features to switch on at /admin/custom-features (each uses a feature point):
- Client Intake Forms — records pressure preference and injuries before the first session.
- Branded Booking Website — gives walk-in traffic a page to book from.
- Automated Waitlists — fills a cancelled room on a busy evening.
- Appointment Add-ons — sells hot stone and aromatherapy on top of the massage.

Do it with the assistant
