Choose your booking type
Suggested reservation type: Appointments. Guests pick the treatment first and rarely care who does it, so appointment services with an optional technician step fit; deposits cut no-shows on long lash and nail sets.
Set it under Settings → Configuration → Reservation type: tick Appointments and leave the other boxes off. The choice is saved for the selected location.
Create your services
Start with these:
- Gel manicure — 60 minutes, price 1200
- Pedicure — 75 minutes, price 1500
- Lash extensions — 90 minutes, price 2200
All three are appointment services; the open buffer gives the technician time to sanitise tools before each guest.
An appointment service is a class with Open for appointments switched on, edited at /admin/appointments/classes/:classId. In its Settings pill start from: default duration 60 minutes, Time frame 15 min, Buffer time - Open 5 min, Buffer time - Close 10 min, and Working Hours matching your opening hours. Connect staff to the service at /admin/appointments/connect and set each person's hours at /admin/appointments/instructors/:customerId.
Set the booking flow
Under /admin/appointments/settings → Booking flow, order the steps Classes → Instructors → Date:
- Classes: Enabled + Required
- Instructors: Enabled (not Required)
- Date: Enabled + Required
Service first, because the treatment sets the time held; the Instructors step is enabled but not required, so a guest who has a favourite technician can pick one and everyone else just picks a time.
Passes and payment
Create these under /admin/passes (a visit pack is a number of visits plus validity days; a membership is a duration):
- Manicure 5-pack — visit pack, 5 visits, valid 180 days, price 5500
Take a deposit at booking on Lash extensions and Pedicure through Payment Methods — a long set that no-shows costs you the whole slot.
Cancellation window: under Settings → Reservation allow customer cancellation with a cutoff of 24 hours before the start (the field takes minutes, so enter 1440).
Deposits: with Payment Methods & Receipts on, a deposit can be collected at booking as described above.
Customers and features
Dependents: Dependents stay off — each guest books under their own account.
Custom features to switch on at /admin/custom-features (each uses a feature point):
- LINE Booking & Messaging — lets guests book and get reminders inside LINE.
- Automated Waitlists — fills a cancelled lash slot from the queue.
- Client Intake Forms — captures allergies and nail conditions before the first visit.
- Payment Methods & Receipts — takes the deposit that protects long sets.
