What this setting controls
Instructor conflict warnings work like room conflict warnings but for instructors: when you create or save a class, the system checks if the chosen instructor is already teaching another overlapping class. If a conflict is found and the setting is on, an alert dialog asks for confirmation before saving.
How to enable
Go to Admin → Settings → Calendar → Admin - Check conflicts on creation → Instructor. Turn on and save.
Combined warnings
If both Room conflict warnings and Instructor conflict warnings are on and both types of conflict apply, the dialog title becomes "Overlap detected - Instructor + Class room" and lists every conflicting class.
The warning now identifies which of the two is actually clashing — the class room, the instructor, or both — so you can see at a glance whether you need to move the room, change the instructor, or pick another time. Repeating classes report the same detail as single classes, and a course date series is checked for clashes before any of its dates are created. See Room conflict warnings for the full explanation.
