What this setting controls
Room conflict warnings tell the system to check, when you create or save a class, whether the chosen classroom is already booked at the same time. When enabled and a conflict is found, an alert dialog asks you to confirm or cancel before saving. This setting is admin-only — customers never see a warning.
It warns, it does not block
The warning is informational — you can still confirm and save the conflicting class. Use this when you want to be told about double-bookings but retain the flexibility to override (for example, a room split into two zones).
How to enable
Go to Admin → Settings → Calendar → Admin - Check conflicts on creation → Class room. Turn the toggle on and save.
Repeating classes and course date series
The warning that already appeared when saving a single class now also appears when you save a repeating class and when you change the dates on a course. In every case it is still a warning and not a block: it shows you what clashes, and you can confirm to save anyway or cancel and change the room, the instructor, or the time.
The warning also tells you why the times clash: whether the classroom is already booked, the instructor is already teaching, or both. That detail is the same wherever the clash is found.
- Repeating classes give the same detail as a single class. Saving a repeating class that clashes shows the conflicting class along with whether the room, the instructor, or both are the reason, and no repeating class is created until you confirm.
- Course date series are checked before any of the dates are created. If one date in the series clashes, you are warned first and nothing is saved, so you are never left with a half-saved series. Confirming saves the whole set.
- Course edits that only change attendees are not checked. Adding or removing people on a course does not touch its dates, so no overlap warning appears and the change saves straight away. The check runs only when the save includes the course's class times.
- Re-saving dates a course already has does not warn you again and does not create duplicates.
