What this setting controls
The reservation cutoff is the latest time a customer may submit a new booking. It is separate from Booking open time, cancellation deadlines, appointment booking intervals, and appointment buffers.
- Before the class — 30 minutes means a 10:00 class closes at 09:30.
- At class start — zero minutes keeps booking open until 10:00.
- After the class starts — an after-start value of 15 minutes keeps a 10:00 class bookable until 10:15.
Once the cutoff passes, the time is no longer offered to customers and a direct booking attempt is rejected.
Business default and overrides
Go to Admin → Settings → Reservation → Reservation time to set the business default. Classes and services use this value while Use business reservation setting is on.
Turn that option off in a class or service's Reservation & Cancellation section to give it its own cutoff. The same section is available when creating or editing a repeating class, a course, or a single calendar session, so each can either use the business default or keep a custom value.
Which cutoff wins
- Class or service — starts from the business default, but may keep its own cutoff.
- Repeating class or course — selecting a class copies that class's current reservation setting into the template. Generated sessions receive the template's setting.
- Single session — uses the setting stored on that calendar occurrence. It may use the business default or a custom cutoff.
Because generated sessions store their own setting, changing a class does not silently rewrite existing calendar sessions. When editing a repeating class or course, use the page's propagation choice if you want eligible linked sessions updated. Sessions with attendees may be excluded from propagation. Always inspect the specific session when diagnosing one date.
