Float Pods and Sauna Cabins
Float Pod: three units, capacity 1, Exclusive, Required. Sauna: one unit, capacity 8, Shared, Required — unrelated guests booking the same hour share it until eight are inside. Infrared Cabin: two units, capacity 2, Exclusive (a couple books the cabin, nobody joins them).
Sessions as Appointments
A Float Session takes one pod whole. A Sauna Session counts one seat of the shared sauna. An Infrared Cabin booking by one guest still takes the whole cabin — Exclusive keeps the second seat empty.
For an appointment service every booking is its own session: an exclusive unit is taken whole by the booking that reserves it, and a shared unit is filled by other bookings at the same time up to its capacity.
Evening Sound Bath (Group Class)
Evening Sound Bath (size 12) uses Bolster Mat units (12, capacity 1, Exclusive, Required). Scheduling the session reserves Mat 1 and each guest takes the next. Because the mats are Required, a session cannot be scheduled for a time when another sound bath already holds them all.
Because this is a group class on the calendar, each session reserves one unit of every required, exclusive item when it is scheduled — before anyone books. Attendees are placed on that unit in turn and never pick it; once it is full the next attendee moves to the next free unit (choosing it themselves if the group is Customer Choice). When no unit is free, the session reads as full even if seats remain.
Robes, Towels and Add-on Treatments
Robes and towels are Optional, Hidden items. Add-on treatments (a scalp massage during the float) are better modelled as appointment add-ons than as equipment.
Standalone Hire
On the Infrared Cabin item open Advanced → Standalone hire, turn on Available for standalone hire and set Block duration 30 minutes, Price per block $500, Time frame 30 minutes, Buffer time - Open 0, Buffer time - Close 15 minutes and Hire hours 11:00–21:00 Tuesday to Sunday, Monday Closed. Guests can then hire a cabin directly instead of booking the appointment service; the close buffer covers cleaning. The hidden hire service has capacity 4 (two active cabins × capacity 2).
On the Hire page a guest picks Infrared Cabin and a start time; Duration +1 makes it an hour, shown as Additional time, Quantity 2 takes both cabins, and the plus buttons are disabled when the next block or cabin is not free. Hire is paid in full at booking by the price per block — no passes, and the item's ordinary Price does not apply — and needs Equipment hire among your booking types. You can also ask the assistant to change these settings.
Checking Allocations
Open Equipment → Allocations — the first tab — to see who holds each pod, cabin and sauna seat. The columns are Equipment, Unit, Customer, Class, Start time, End time and Capacity used; a Session badge marks a unit held for a whole class session. Filter by Class (Float Session, Evening Sound Bath), Equipment (Float Pod, Sauna, Infrared Cabin), Customer or Date range, or search by equipment, unit or class name or class schedule ID. Use load more or load all for long lists. Cabin hires appear here as bookings on the Infrared Cabin's hidden hire service. You can also ask the assistant to list allocations for a session, class, customer, item, unit or date.
Changing Items and Groups Later
The edits this business makes most often:
- Take a float pod out for a water change — in the Units pill set its status to Maintenance with a start date (the end date is optional). It leaves class capacity and standalone hire until it is Active again.
- Change the Sauna capacity — edit Capacity per unit on the item; upcoming sessions are recalculated.
- Change the cabin hire price — on the item's edit page; the hire price is Price per block under Advanced → Standalone hire.
