Link Equipment to a Class or Service
For a standalone item, open its Classes pill and select the classes or appointment services that use it. For grouped items, open the equipment group and select its classes instead. The Equipment Classes tab then shows every offering with active item or group links — it lists both group classes and appointment services (the tab is labelled Classes, but it covers appointments too).
The class, item/group, and any fixed location must be compatible. A grouped item cannot be attached directly.
Use Item and Group Overrides
Open Equipment → Classes, select a class or appointment service, then choose New Equipment Override or New Group Override. The override pages are titled Equipment Override and Group Override.
- An Equipment Override changes an item's price, or whether it is Exclusive, Shared, or follows the item's default (Use Equipment Default), only for that class or appointment service. Exclusive reserves the unit for one booking or calendar session — attendees of that same session can share it, but another session cannot. The equipment picker lists the standalone items linked directly to that class, so you can set an override on them.
- A Group Override sets Same Equipment Item Override (previously Keep Together Override) to Required or Preferred, only for that class or appointment service. Required means everyone in one booking must use the same equipment item, potentially across several of its units, and the booking is rejected if that item cannot fit them all; Preferred allows different items.
- Choose the default option or clear an override to inherit the source item's or group's settings again.
The item or group must already be linked to the class or appointment service before an override can be created. This only applies to overrides: when you choose items for an equipment group, you can still only pick items set to Part of Group.
What Customers Can See
Customers can be told which linked equipment is required or optional, whether they may choose it, its customer-facing description, capacity rule, and effective class-specific charge. They do not see private unit ids, maintenance notes, operational inventory status, or equipment that is not linked to that class or appointment service.
Visible shows the auto-assigned unit name after booking; only Selectable means the customer may choose a unit.
