Heavy Bags (Group Class)
Heavy Bag: 16 units, capacity 1, Exclusive, Required, Hidden. Scheduling Beginner Muay Thai reserves Bag 1, and each student takes the next bag as they book. The Kids Martial Arts class needs no equipment — leave it unlinked so it is limited only by its class size.
Because this is a group class on the calendar, each session reserves one unit of every required, exclusive item when it is scheduled — before anyone books. Attendees are placed on that unit in turn and never pick it; once it is full the next attendee moves to the next free unit (choosing it themselves if the group is Customer Choice). When no unit is free, the session reads as full even if seats remain.
The Ring for Private Sparring (Appointments)
Ring: one unit, capacity 2, Exclusive, Required, linked to the Private Sparring appointment service. A booking for one fighter and the coach takes the whole ring; nobody else is placed in it.
For an appointment service every booking is its own session: an exclusive unit is taken whole by the booking that reserves it, and a shared unit is filled by other bookings at the same time up to its capacity.
Mats as a Shared Area
BJJ Fundamentals rolls on one mat area: create Mat Area as a single Shared unit with capacity 16, Required. Every booking on any class at that time counts toward the 16, so a fundamentals class and an open-mat session at the same time together cannot exceed it.
Gloves and Shin Guards
Rental Gloves (by size as units, Selectable) and Shin Guards are Optional, priced items. Students add them at booking or later from the reservation; running out never blocks the class.
Standalone Hire
On the Ring item open Advanced → Standalone hire, turn on Available for standalone hire and set Block duration 30 minutes, Price per block $400, Time frame 30 minutes, Buffer time - Open 0, Buffer time - Close 10 minutes and Hire hours 12:00–22:00 Monday to Saturday, Sunday Closed. Two fighters can then hire the ring for their own sparring. With one unit the hidden hire service has capacity 2 (one unit × capacity 2), so only one hire fits at a time.
On the Hire page a fighter picks Ring and a start time; Duration +1 makes it an hour, shown as Additional time, Quantity stays 1, and the plus buttons are disabled while Private Sparring holds the next block. Hire is paid in full at booking by the price per block — no passes, and the item's ordinary Price does not apply — and needs Equipment hire among your booking types. You can also ask the assistant to change these settings.
Checking Allocations
Open Equipment → Allocations — the first tab — to see who holds each bag, ring and mat place. The columns are Equipment, Unit, Customer, Class, Start time, End time and Capacity used; a Session badge marks a unit held for a whole class session. Filter by Class (Beginner Muay Thai, Private Sparring), Equipment (Heavy Bag, Ring, Mat Area), Customer or Date range, or search by equipment, unit or class name or class schedule ID. Use load more or load all for long lists. Ring hires appear here as bookings on the Ring's hidden hire service. You can also ask the assistant to list allocations for a session, class, customer, item, unit or date.
Changing Items and Groups Later
The edits this business makes most often:
- Add a 17th heavy bag — open the item, choose the Units pill and select Add Unit, or enter a new Total units and select Go.
- Change the Mat Area capacity — edit Capacity per unit on the item; upcoming sessions are recalculated.
- Change the glove rental price or the ring hire price — on the item's edit page; the hire price is Price per block under Advanced → Standalone hire.
Every one of these can also be done by asking the assistant.
