Q: Before OmceanBooking, which small booking task pulled your attention away?
A:
Mostly managing student bookings, cancellations and changes of time. We have many teachers, several kinds of class, and outside instructors hiring the space, so teacher hours, studio space and each student's remaining classes all have to be held in view at once. Confirming and coordinating that by hand took a lot of time, and it affected how smoothly the day ran.
Q: Which feature makes the day run most smoothly now?
A:
Self-service booking and class management, by some way. Students can see the times for themselves and book or cancel, and teachers can see their own teaching schedule. Because we have so many teachers, classes are often covered by someone else, so teachers also note each session against the student's record — the next teacher can prepare from that. On the management side, pass counts and waitlist notices have cut out a lot of checking and messaging back and forth.
Q: What do you want your customers to feel?
A:
PILAFORM wants to offer more than professional Pilates classes: from booking, to walking into the studio, to finishing a session, it should all feel comfortable, considered and well made. A simpler, clearer booking process lets students arrange their own training time, and lets the team put more of itself into the teaching and into what each student needs — a practice that is professional and warm at the same time.
