Choose Static or Dynamic

Use Static when customers pay the same amount every subscription period, such as NT$1,200 each month. Use Dynamic when a monthly subscription follows a repeating class and the bill should reflect the sessions scheduled for that month.

SettingStaticDynamic
PriceA fixed plan price each period.Price per session, with optional individual session overrides.
BillingThe plan’s configured interval and charge count or Until cancelled.A selected day of the month, from 1 to 28, billing for the following month.
ECPay payment flowThe existing recurring-payment checkout (定期定額).Credit card binding, with subsequent charges initiated by OB.
NewebPaySupported for fixed recurring subscriptions. Not supported for Dynamic subscriptions.

These subscription options use credit cards and TWD. A Dynamic plan is not a fixed monthly price: four sessions at NT$500 total NT$2,000, while five total NT$2,500, before any session overrides.

ECPay requirements and official information

Static subscriptions still use the original ECPay recurring-payment integration. They do not switch to card binding simply because you offer Dynamic plans too. One-off ECPay purchases also keep their normal checkout.

Dynamic subscriptions automatically use ECPay credit card binding. Before selling them, ask ECPay to activate credit card binding for your merchant account and confirm the applicable fees. Additional fees may apply. Turning ECPay on in OB does not establish that ECPay has approved this service.

There is no separate card-binding or OB-managed subscriptions toggle in OB. The subscription type selects the flow for new purchases. Existing customer subscriptions keep their saved billing arrangement.

  1. Open Admin → Custom Features → Online Payment → Payment Options. Configure ECPay for Dynamic plans, or ECPay/NewebPay for Static plans. Enter merchant credentials only in the secure payment settings.
  2. Open Subscriptions → Types → New, or select an existing plan and open Edit.
  3. In Important Information → Subscription type, choose Static or Dynamic. Dynamic is disabled while ECPay is off; its description reminds you to arrange card-binding activation with ECPay. Choose carefully: the type is set when the plan is created and cannot be changed after it has been saved. When you edit a saved plan, Subscription type is greyed out and shows Subscription type cannot be changed after creation. If you need the other type, create a new subscription with that type instead.
  4. For Static, set the price, billing interval, and charge count or Until cancelled. For Dynamic, select the Repeating class, Price per session, and Charge on day of month (1–28). Add optional Make-up classes.
  5. Review cancellation and purchase availability. Link the accepted passes on Passes, and choose issued-pass validity on Pass duration. Save.
  6. On the linked pass’s Payment tab, enable online purchase and select Subscription or Both as the payment type. Link the subscription offer and save.

Editing an offer is different from editing a customer’s purchased subscription. Existing subscriptions retain their saved billing terms. See Subscriptions for customer status and cancellation instructions.

Dynamic initial payment and renewal dates

The first payment covers upcoming, non-cancelled sessions from purchase time. Past sessions are not included. The configured billing day determines the end of the initial period:

  • Before the billing day: the remaining sessions this month.
  • On or after the billing day: the remaining sessions this month plus next month.

For example, with billing day 22, a purchase on 22 October 2026 covers the remaining October sessions and November sessions. If there are six sessions at NT$500, the initial payment is NT$3,000. The next bill on 22 November covers December’s scheduled sessions. The charge is recalculated from the sessions and their applicable prices, rather than repeating the first payment.

Checkout labels this amount Initial payment. A line such as Oct 2026 + Nov 2026 · 6 classes shows what it covers; customers can select the class count to see the dates. This is why a Dynamic offer is not shown as a fixed monthly amount.

Preview sessions and change a session price

Save a Dynamic plan, then open its Classes tab. Choose a month to see the scheduled classes, monthly total, session count and charge day. Cancelled sessions do not contribute to the charge.

Select a session price to set an override and optional note. Clear override restores the plan’s price per session. The override applies to this subscription’s session for all students, not just one customer. It does not change the class’s one-off booking price. Changes to session prices are not an automatic refund or additional charge for an already-paid period.

What customers see when paying

Static + ECPay: customers continue to use the normal ECPay recurring-payment checkout. Dynamic + ECPay: customers enter their card through ECPay card binding within the purchase flow and complete bank verification if requested. A successful card verification alone does not mean the purchase is complete; customers must reach the successful payment and booking confirmation.

The customer does not choose between payment technologies. OB chooses from the plan’s Static or Dynamic type. Make-up class choices for eligible paid Dynamic passes are available from the pass details, using the plan’s linked make-up classes and remaining pass credit. See Subscriptions for the full make-up booking steps.
