Where to find it
For a scheduled class or appointment service, open the item in Classes or Appointments → Classes, choose Edit → Payment, and scroll to Flexible pricing. The class must accept one-off payments, either on their own or alongside passes.
For equipment, open Equipment → Items → your item → Advanced → Standalone hire. Enable hire, set its price per block and payment requirement, then find Flexible pricing below the hire settings. The ordinary equipment add-on price is separate.
This feature is being rolled out to selected businesses. If it is missing, ask support whether it is enabled for your business. Staff also need editing permission for the class, appointment or equipment page.
Set days, times and an additional price
- Set the default price first.
- Turn on the first price rule. An empty, switched-off starter row is only a placeholder and is not saved.
- Enter Additional price: 100 adds $100; -50 subtracts $50. This is not the final selling price.
- Select weekday chips, then the time window. Add another window for separate periods on the same days. End time is exclusive: 18:00–22:00 applies at 18:00, but not at 22:00. Split an overnight period into two rules/windows on the relevant days.
- Optionally name the rule in English and Chinese. Review the weekly preview and save the item. Use Add rule for a different set of days or prices.
Rules repeat weekly. The editor does not offer special-date ranges or a priority selector. Avoid overlapping rules for the same day and time; conflicting equal-priority rules are rejected rather than choosing a price silently.
How the price is calculated
A class normally costs $600. A weekend rule adds $100, so a matching booking costs $700. If you later change the default to $650, that rule still adds $100, giving $750. Outside the selected windows, the default price applies. A negative adjustment can reduce the total to zero, but never below zero; changing the default price is also checked against saved discounts, including disabled rules.
For equipment hire, each whole block uses the price at that block's start, then the units are counted. For example, two one-hour blocks start at 11:00 and 12:00. With a $100 base and a +$50 lunch rule from 12:00, one unit costs $100 + $150 = $250. A block that starts before the boundary is not split halfway through.
Customer cards can show From pricing when rules apply. The selected date, time and duration determine the preview; confirmation is priced and saved by the server. Confirmed bookings keep their agreed price even when staff move them or pricing rules change.
Price is separate from payment due now
Flexible pricing changes the cash price, not pass credits, pass eligibility or when money is due. In Payment at booking, choose business settings, pay later, deposit or full payment. Pay later leaves the price outstanding; it does not make the booking free. A customer using a valid accepted pass follows the pass rules instead.
For a class accepting both payment and passes, a customer without a pass uses the cash payment policy. Pass required to reserve is a separate setting for pass-only classes. To offer a genuinely free one-off booking, set its price to zero.
