Availability and hardware

Door access is currently DEV-only. Enable it under Custom Features, then open Door access. It connects the TTLock user account that owns the locks. Use compatible QR readers or PIN keypads; a gateway cannot add a camera or QR scanner to unsupported hardware. Remote PIN installation requires a connected gateway or compatible Wi-Fi lock. Facial door recognition is Coming soon and cannot be selected. Existing kiosk facial enrolment is separate.

Connect and assign doors

  1. Enter your TTLock account and password on the Door access page and select Connect. The password is used to connect and is not saved. Do not send it in assistant chat.
  2. Select Load TTLock doors. Choose a door, its location and Entry reader or Exit reader, then Save door.
  3. Choose QR code or PIN code and save. Use one method for the business.

Changing or removing an assignment changes how that reader is used by OB. It does not physically unlock a door. Ask your installer to confirm compatibility and gateway connectivity.

Door rules are independent of Gate

You can run Gate and Door access together with different rules. Door rules, accepted passes and individual customer allow/deny overrides do not change Gate, and Gate changes do not grant Door access.

Under Rules for, select Business defaults or a location. A location inherits Door business defaults until you save its own rules. Saving that location stores its complete rules and accepted-pass list. QR/PIN choice, exit-reader mode and the TTLock account remain business-wide. Staff permission is still controlled by the existing Gate View/Edit permission.

Choose eligibility and time windows

Business hours restrict customer entry to the location's opening hours; the closing buffer stops entry that many minutes before closing. Access – All permits customers without a pass or reservation, subject to the hours and explicit deny rules. Otherwise, enable active passes, upcoming reservations, or both. An empty Accepted Passes list accepts any eligible active pass, including eligible shared-account passes.

A blank or zero reservation buffer allows entry on the reservation day. A positive value allows entry from that many minutes before the class until class end. Only confirmed, non-cancelled reservations at the door's location qualify. Staff receive staff access; an explicit deny still blocks them.

Customer overrides and expiring codes

Select the rules location, then under Door customer overrides choose a customer, Allow or Deny, a reason, start time and end time. Business-default scope applies across locations. Deny takes precedence over Allow. Remove an override to end the exception. These overrides only affect Door access.

Customers open Account → Access. When Door QR is enabled, QR defaults to Door access and can switch to kiosk QR. PIN appears when PIN is selected. The page explains missing eligibility or when to check back. Codes expire within ten minutes and cannot extend beyond the allowed access window. Already issued codes may continue working until expiry after rules or overrides change.

Entry, exits and attendance

Exit reader is enabled by default. Assign separate entry and exit readers with fixed directions. Currently inside counts each identified customer's latest successful entry/exit per location today; repeated entries do not increase the count. Without exit readers, turn this off: only check-in times are shown and no occupancy count is inferred.

Recent access shows the latest 100 records. Unassigned credential means the event cannot be matched to an OB customer. Failed unlocks do not change occupancy. Automatic Attendance marks existing confirmed reservations for the entry day and location after a successful identified entry; requesting a QR or PIN alone never marks attendance.

Refresh and troubleshoot

Opening the admin page reads saved records; it does not poll every lock. Refresh access records imports today's authenticated QR/PIN records from TTLock. Configured callbacks also import unlock records, including late records. There is no Door polling cron in this version. Connectivity and provider delivery determine when records appear.

If no code is offered, check the location, Door rules, accepted pass, confirmed reservation time and Door-only deny overrides. If code generation fails, check account connection, hardware support and gateway availability. A TTLock error does not generate a substitute kiosk code. Do not rely on recorded occupancy as a live emergency headcount.
