Identity: name, avatar, and personality
At the top of Settings, enter the Chatbot name customers should see. The name is required and can contain up to 60 characters.
For Avatar, choose one of five preset images, choose the no-avatar option, or select the upload tile to add a custom image. A custom image has its own trash button for removing it. Then choose one of five personalities: Friendly, Professional, Energetic, Cheeky, or Deadpan. The preview at the top updates with the current identity.
Customer channels and website embed
The Customer channels section controls where customers can meet the chatbot:
- Enable website — show it on your OceanBooking website.
- Custom domain — embed the same chatbot launcher and panel into an existing external website.
- AI Linebot — shows whether AI replies are on or off for LINE. The disabled switch is a status display and cannot be changed on this page.
Add the chatbot to an external website
- Turn on Custom domain.
- Enter the hostname where the chatbot will be embedded, for example
www.mysite.com. Do not includehttps://, a page path, or a trailing slash. - Save the AI Chatbot settings and send the hostname to OceanBooking support. OceanBooking adds the exact HTTPS hostname to the website's CloudFront
frame-ancestorslist. - Add the following script before the closing
</body>tag on the external website. ReplaceYOUR_BUSINESS_URLwith the business part of your OceanBooking URL.
<script async
src="https://app.omceanbooking.com/assets/customer-assistant-embed.js"
data-business="YOUR_BUSINESS_URL"></script>For example, if the OceanBooking website is https://app.omceanbooking.com/freshyoga, use data-business="freshyoga". The script adds the existing chatbot launcher above the external website and expands the same chatbot panel when a customer opens it. It does not replace the website and does not require any DNS or SSL-certificate changes.
To change AI Linebot, select Edit setting. This opens the Auto replies section under Line Bot / Notifications, where the AI powered setting is owned. If that custom feature is disabled, the link shows a Custom feature not enabled alert instead of navigating.
Conversation preferences
The second content header is Conversation preferences:
- Emoji — choose Automatic, Use emoji, or No emoji.
- Greeting — turn this on to show an opening when customers first see the chatbot. When enabled, enter separate English and Traditional Chinese greetings, each up to 500 characters.
- Human contact — enter one message of up to 300 characters explaining where customers should go when the assistant cannot help.
Automatic lets the assistant decide when emoji feel natural. Use emoji requests a light touch, while No emoji keeps replies free from emoji.
Save and verify the result
Save the page after changing any identity, channel, or conversation setting. Then open Training → Evaluation to confirm the name, tone, greeting behavior, and escalation wording before enabling a new customer channel.
Settings affect the customer-facing chatbot only. They do not rename or restyle Obie, the signed-in admin assistant.
