What this setting controls
Check-in sets the default attendance state for each new reservation. When set to "Attended", reservations are automatically marked attended at creation — useful if you do not run a kiosk and want bookings to count immediately. When set to "Not attended", you (or a kiosk) must mark each customer in when they arrive.
How to change
Go to Admin → Settings → Reservation → Activate check in. Pick Not attended or Attended and save. Existing reservations keep their current state — only newly created ones use the new default.
