Add-on items
Learn-to-swim group levels do not take add-ons — they apply to appointment services only — so the examples use the Private swim lesson (30 minutes) and the Lane booking. Two Standalone items:
- Video stroke analysis — Price 300, Duration 10, Scope Per Person, Linking Mode Standalone, Classes: Private swim lesson. The coach films and reviews each swimmer, so the fee is per person and the hold grows from 30 to 40 minutes.
- Swim cap — Price 80, Duration 0, Scope Per Person, Standalone, Classes: Private swim lesson and Lane booking. Price only; one cap per attendee.
An add-on group
Swimmers hire whatever training kit they forgot, so use a Multiple group. Create Fins (Price 60), Kickboard (Price 40) and Goggles (Price 80), all Duration 0 and Linking Mode Part of Group. Then create the group Hire kit, Selection Mode Multiple, Scope Per Person — siblings sharing a lesson each need their own fins — Classes: Private swim lesson and Lane booking. Order the members Fins, Kickboard, Goggles.
An add-on service
Diving-start drills is a 15-minute appointment service that needs the deep-end lane, so it is an add-on class. Under Addons → Classes create: Main Class Private swim lesson, Addon Class Diving-start drills, Scheduling Sequential with Use Buffer Times off — the same coach walks the swimmer to the blocks straight after the lesson. Leave the overrides blank. The slot is shown only when the coach is free for the full 45 minutes.
What the customer sees
A parent books a Private swim lesson for 2 attendees (two siblings). The summary shows the Video stroke analysis and Swim cap tick boxes, the Hire kit block with three tick boxes, and the Diving-start drills as configured. Swim cap adds 2 × 80 and Goggles 2 × 80, both Per Person. Ticking Video stroke analysis adds 2 × 300 and lengthens the hold from 30 to 40 minutes, so a start time just before the next lesson is no longer offered. There is no Single (Required) group, so the confirm button is available immediately.
Changing add-ons later
Most common edits:
- Add a Pull buoy to Hire kit — create it as Part of Group, then add it under the group's Addons.
- Raise Video stroke analysis to 350 — edit the item's Price on the Items tab.
- Archive the Summer-holiday Intensive pack item — it leaves pickers and new bookings; past bookings keep it.
- Offer Swim cap on Diving-start drills too — tick the class in the item's Classes pill.
You can also ask the assistant to make any of these changes.
