Add-on items
The restaurant's appointment services are the Dinner reservation (90-minute seating) and the Lunch reservation. Two Standalone items under Appointments → Addons → Items:
- Extended seating — Price 500, Duration 30, Scope Per Booking, Linking Mode Standalone, Classes: Dinner reservation. The table is held for 120 minutes instead of 90, and the fee is charged once for the party.
- Birthday cake — Price 680, Duration 0, Scope Per Booking, Standalone, Classes: both. One cake per table; nothing added to the seating time. A Per Person scope would wrongly order a cake per guest.
An add-on group
A table orders one bottle of house wine in advance, so use a Single (Optional) group. Create House red (Price 900), House white (Price 900) and Sparkling (Price 1200), all Duration 0 and Linking Mode Part of Group. Then create the group House wine, Selection Mode Single (Optional) — guests who will order at the table pick None — Scope Per Booking because one bottle is shared, Classes: Dinner reservation. Drag Sparkling to the top for celebrations.
An add-on service
A restaurant rarely needs an add-on service: nothing here requires a second instructor or room with its own availability, so a priced item with a Duration — like Extended seating — covers every case. If you later run a Chef's table tour as its own appointment service, you could link it under Addons → Classes as a Sequential add-on to the Dinner reservation; until then, items are enough.
What the customer sees
A couple books a Dinner reservation for 2 attendees. After choosing the time, the summary shows the Extended seating and Birthday cake tick boxes and the House wine block (House red, House white, Sparkling, None). Every price here is Per Booking, so Sparkling adds 1200 and the cake 680 regardless of party size — had the restaurant used Per Person, each would double for the two guests. Ticking Extended seating adds 500 and lengthens the hold from 90 to 120 minutes, so a start time that collides with the table's next sitting is no longer offered. House wine is Single (Optional), so they can confirm without choosing.
Changing add-ons later
Most common edits:
- Add a Rosé to House wine — create it as Part of Group, then add it under the group's Addons.
- Raise Birthday cake to 750 — edit the item's Price on the Items tab.
- Archive the Valentine's Rose bouquet item — it leaves pickers and new bookings; past bookings keep it.
- Offer Extended seating on the Lunch reservation too — tick the class in the item's Classes pill.
You can also ask the assistant; it reads your catalogue first and shows each change for approval.
