Add-on items
The salon's appointment services are Cut (45 minutes), Colour (120 minutes) and Blow-dry. Two Standalone items under Appointments → Addons → Items:
- Olaplex treatment — Price 800, Duration 20, Scope Per Person, Linking Mode Standalone, Classes: Cut and Colour. Each head gets its own treatment and 20 more minutes in the chair, so a mother-and-daughter booking pays twice and the hold grows by 20 minutes.
- Take-home shampoo — Price 650, Duration 0, Scope Per Booking, Standalone, Classes: all three. A product; one bottle per booking, no time added.
An add-on group
A colour client leaves with one finish, so build a group whose members carry minutes. Create Blow-dry finish (Price 500, Duration 30), Curls (Price 700, Duration 40) and Braid (Price 400, Duration 20), all Linking Mode Part of Group. Then create the group Finish, Selection Mode Single (Optional) — air-dry clients pick None — Scope Per Person, Classes: Colour and Cut. Whichever finish is chosen adds its own minutes to the appointment, so the stylist is held for the right length.
An add-on service
An Express manicure is a 30-minute appointment service run by the salon's nail technician, so it is an add-on class. Under Addons → Classes create: Main Class Colour, Addon Class Express manicure, Scheduling Parallel with Same Instructor off — the nail technician works while the colour processes, so the 120-minute hold does not grow and the time is offered only when the technician is free for 30 of those minutes. Leave the overrides blank.
What the customer sees
A mother books a Colour for 2 attendees (herself and her daughter). The summary shows the Olaplex treatment and Take-home shampoo tick boxes, the Finish block (Blow-dry finish, Curls, Braid, None) and the Express manicure as configured. Olaplex adds 2 × 800 because it is Per Person and lengthens the hold from 120 to 140 minutes; choosing Curls adds 2 × 700 and another 40 minutes, so only start times with a free three-hour window remain. Shampoo adds 650 once. Finish is Single (Optional), so confirming does not wait on it.
Changing add-ons later
The edits this salon makes most:
- Add a Festival glitter finish — create the item as Part of Group, then open Finish and add it under Addons.
- Raise Olaplex to 900 — edit the item's Price on the Items tab.
- Archive the Summer Hair-oil kit — archiving hides it from pickers and new bookings; past bookings keep it.
- Offer Olaplex on Blow-dry too — tick the class in the item's Classes pill.
You can also ask the assistant; it lists your current add-ons and shows each change for approval.
