Add-on items
The practice's appointment services are Scale & clean (45 minutes), Check-up and Dental X-rays (15 minutes). Two Standalone items under Appointments → Addons → Items:
- Home-care kit — Price 900, Duration 0, Scope Per Booking, Linking Mode Standalone, Classes: Scale & clean and Check-up. A product handed over at reception; no chair time.
- Airflow stain removal — Price 800, Duration 15, Scope Per Person, Standalone, Classes: Scale & clean. Each patient's teeth take 15 more minutes, so the hold grows to 60 minutes and the fee is per attendee.
An add-on group
Anxious patients combine comfort options freely, so use a Multiple group. Create Numbing gel (Price 150), Nitrous oxide (Price 1200, Duration 10) and Noise-cancelling headphones (Price 100), Linking Mode Part of Group. Then create the group Comfort options, Selection Mode Multiple, Scope Per Booking — a dental booking is one patient in the chair — Classes: Scale & clean and Check-up. Nitrous oxide adds 10 minutes for set-up and recovery; the other two add none.
An add-on service
Dental X-rays is a 15-minute appointment service with its own room, so offering it with a clean is an add-on class. Under Addons → Classes create: Main Class Scale & clean, Addon Class Dental X-rays, Scheduling Sequential with Use Buffer Times off — the same clinician walks the patient to the X-ray room immediately. Leave Price and Duration Override blank. The time is offered only when the clinician is free for the full 60 minutes.
What the customer sees
A patient books a Scale & clean. The summary shows the Home-care kit and Airflow stain removal tick boxes, the Comfort options block with three tick boxes, and Dental X-rays as configured. Ticking Airflow adds 800 and lengthens the hold from 45 to 60 minutes; adding Nitrous oxide adds 1200 and 10 more, so only start times with a free 70-minute window remain. No group is Single (Required), so the confirm button is available at once. If a parent books for 2 attendees, Airflow is charged 2 × 800 because it is Per Person, while the kit stays 900.
Changing add-ons later
Most common edits:
- Add a Weighted blanket to Comfort options — create it as Part of Group, then add it under the group's Addons.
- Raise Airflow stain removal to 900 — edit the item's Price on the Items tab.
- Archive the Back-to-school Kids' kit — it leaves pickers and new bookings; past bookings keep it.
- Offer Home-care kit on Dental X-rays too — tick the class in the item's Classes pill.
