Add-on items
Add-ons apply to appointment services only — here the Court booking (60 minutes) and the Private coaching session, not the group clinics. Create two Standalone items under Appointments → Addons → Items:
- Video analysis — Price 300, Duration 15, Scope Per Booking, Linking Mode Standalone, Classes: Private coaching session. The coach films and reviews after the hour, so the hold grows to 75 minutes and the fee is charged once.
- Sports drink — Price 60, Duration 0, Scope Per Person, Standalone, Classes: Court booking and Private coaching session. Every attendee gets one, so Per Person multiplies it by the number of players.
An add-on group
Players choose one kind of shuttlecock per court hour, so make it a group. Create the items Feather tube (Price 450) and Nylon tube (Price 250), both Duration 0 and Linking Mode Part of Group. Then under Addons → Groups create Shuttlecocks, Selection Mode Single (Optional) — players who bring their own pick None — Scope Per Booking because one tube serves the whole court, Classes: Court booking only. Drag Feather tube above Nylon tube so the premium option shows first.
An add-on service
A Footwork drill is a real 30-minute appointment service with its own availability, so it belongs under Addons → Classes, not as an item. Create an add-on class with Main Class Private coaching session, Addon Class Footwork drill, Scheduling Sequential — the same coach continues straight after the lesson — and leave Use Buffer Times off, because nobody changes court between the two. Leave Price and Duration Override blank to keep the drill's own price and 30 minutes. The time is only offered when the coach is free for the full 90 minutes.
What the customer sees
Two friends book a Court booking for 2 attendees. After choosing the court time, the summary screen shows the Sports drink tick box and the Shuttlecocks block with Feather tube, Nylon tube and None; because it is Single (Optional) they can confirm without choosing. Ticking Sports drink adds 2 × 60 because it is Per Person; Feather tube adds 450 once. On a Private coaching session the same screen also shows Video analysis and the Footwork drill; ticking Video analysis lengthens the hold from 60 to 75 minutes, and a slot that no longer fits before the next booking is simply not offered.
Changing add-ons later
The edits this business makes most:
- Add a Hybrid tube — create the item with Part of Group, then open the Shuttlecocks group and add it under Addons.
- Raise Video analysis to 350 — edit the item on the Items tab; existing bookings keep the price they paid.
- Archive the tournament-season Entry fee item — archiving hides it from pickers and new bookings while past bookings keep it.
- Offer Sports drink on the Footwork drill too — tick it in the item's Classes pill.
You can also ask the assistant; it reads your catalogue first and shows each change for approval.
