When to Use the "Rollover passes" Feature
When a customer holds two passes and wants the admin to help rollover the balance of one pass into the other, but the admin wants to keep the sales prices of both passes unchanged, they can use the "Rollover pass" feature on the user page to combine the remaining classes or points and value of one pass into the other. If you want to merge the sales prices of the passes as well, you can manually adjust the points and sales amounts of both passes.
* This feature allows for a "manual" rollover of old and new passes, and you can also enable the customized "point system" feature to automate the merging of remaining points on passes.
Example of Rollover passes
For example, if Mimi buys a "3-class" pass priced at 690 NTD, each class on this pass is valued at 230 NTD.
Later, she purchases a "20-class" pass priced at 8,000 NTD, with each class valued at 400 NTD.
Now, the admin uses the Rollover pass feature (or the points billing automated rollover feature) to combine the 3 classes from the "3-class" pass into the "20-class" pass, keeping the sales prices of both passes unchanged. The 3 classes are deducted from the "3-class" pass and added to the "20-class" pass.
The unit value of the "3-class" pass remains unchanged (230 NTD), while the unit value of the "20-class" pass, after merging the value of the "3-class" pass, is updated to 378 NTD.
The calculation is as follows: [(230 × 3 + 8000)] ÷ (20 + 3) ≒ 378 (rounded)
