API keys now give you more control over what an outside system can do with your business, and it is clear at a glance what each key is allowed to do.
- When you create a key, choose Read / write or Read only. A read-only key can fetch information but cannot create, update or cancel anything.
- Also choose Live or Test (sandbox). A test key works on a shared practice business that is reset every night, so you can try changes without touching your real data - and it never sends emails or notifications.
- Your key list now shows an Access and a Mode column, so you can tell live keys from practice keys and read-only keys from full-access keys without opening anything.
- Access and mode are set when the key is created and cannot be changed later. To switch either one, create a new key.
- Over the API you can now also update classes, cancel them, and read or change your booking-window settings.
