Setting up your business is now quicker, because your business type gives you sensible starting settings for the way you work.
- Booking steps that suit your business: many more business types now get their own appointment booking steps. For example, hair salons and barbers ask customers to choose a service, then a stylist, then a time.
- A cancellation window for your type: if you still use the standard one-hour cancellation window, choosing your business type sets a window that suits it, such as 24 hours for a salon. A window you already chose yourself is never changed.
- Better times for new services: new appointment services created in the Welcome tour or by your admin assistant start with start times and clean-up time between bookings that suit your business type. Your existing services are not changed.
- Equipment hire in the Welcome tour: if you hire out equipment, a new optional step lets you add your first item with how many you have, the hire length and the price. It opens for hire during your opening hours, or Monday to Friday 09:00-17:00 if no opening hours were imported.
- A shorter tour for equipment hire only: if equipment hire is all you offer, the Welcome tour skips the class and pass steps.
- Tailored suggestions from your admin assistant: your admin assistant can compare your settings with what suits your business type and suggest only the changes you are missing.
