Studios that take payments through NewebPay can now sell recurring subscription passes, not just one-off purchases.
- Customers are charged the first payment at checkout and then automatically on each billing cycle.
- Supported billing cycles are monthly, yearly, and every 2 or more days. Daily billing and cycles such as every 3 months cannot be charged by this provider, and customers see a clear message instead of an unexpected charge date.
- Renewals extend the pass automatically, and the customer receives a payment confirmation email and receipt as usual.
- If a renewal payment fails repeatedly, the subscription is cancelled after 6 failed attempts.
- Cancelling a subscription from the admin portal now correctly stops future charges for NewebPay customers. Cancellation is permanent and cannot be resumed.
- A subscription must be bought on its own - it cannot be combined with other items in the same cart.
