What is Terms and Conditions?
Terms and Conditions is a custom feature that displays a waiver to all customers who register with your business. Customers must review and agree to (or digitally sign) your terms before they can access the booking system to make reservations or purchases.
Key characteristics:
- Applies to all customers who register with your business
- Displayed after registration or when logging in (if not yet signed)
- Single waiver document for all customers
- Can be updated and customers can be required to re-sign
- Supports both English and Chinese content
When customers see the waiver:
- After completing registration
- When logging in (if they haven't signed the current version)
- Automatically appears whenever a signature is required
Setting Up Terms and Conditions
To access Terms and Conditions, go to Custom Features > Terms and Conditions in the left navigation menu.
Tabs available:
- Information - Write and edit your terms and conditions content using the rich text editor. You can format text, add images, and include links. Use the language selector to switch between English and Chinese versions.
- Versions - View all previous versions of your terms, including the date created, number of customers who signed each version, and the admin who created it. You can view the content of any previous version.
- History - Track all customer signatures and when they agreed to your terms.
- Settings - Configure how the waiver works.
Settings Options
The Settings tab provides important configuration options:
Signature Required
Toggle this option to require customers to digitally sign the waiver instead of just clicking "Agree". When enabled, customers must draw their signature on the screen to confirm their agreement.
Reset on Update
When enabled, any time you update the terms and conditions content, all customers will be required to sign the new version. This is useful when you make significant policy changes that customers need to acknowledge.
Reset Button
Use this to manually reset all customers who haven't accepted the current version. After clicking Reset, those customers will be prompted to sign the waiver again on their next login.
Version Management
Each time you save changes to your terms and conditions, a new version is created automatically. The Versions tab shows:
- Version Number - Sequential number for each version
- Date - When the version was created
- Number Signed - How many customers have signed this version
- English/Chinese - View buttons to see the content in each language
- Admin Name - Who created this version
This version history helps you track changes over time and see which version each customer agreed to.
